FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

  • $200 per hour for large-scale multiple session tattoos. This includes projects like full sleeves, backs, etc…

  • for smaller tattoos, anything I’ll finish in one session, I’ll typically charge a flat rate that we’ll agree upon before starting your tattoo.

I don’t ever charge for research or drawing time at home, regardless of the size of the tattoo. If i’ve accepted your project I understand the time commitment. I consider this work outside your tattoo session a regular part of the job that i’ve factored into my normal hourly rate.

  • HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?

  • $50-100 FOR A SMALLER, SINGLE-SESSION TATTOO

  • $200-500 FOR SOMETHING LARGE. FULL SLEEVE, BACKS, ANYTHING THAT’LL TAKE MORE THAN ONE FULL SESSION TO FINISH.

IT LARGELY DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH TIME WILL GO INTO PREPARING FOR YOUR TATTOO.

Typically your deposit is collected during your consultation.

  • deposits are always non-refundable, but will be deducted from the final session of your tattoo.

  • I LIVE OUT OF TOWN AND CAN’T COME IN FOR A CONSULTATION, CAN I STILL GET TATTOOED?

TOTALLY. It’s best if we can meet in person for large scale work so I can trace out the area to be tattooed and draw everything to fit you, but it’s not always mandatory. If your project is something relatively straightforward an you’re able to send photos of the area you’d like tattooed, we can often get your appointment scheduled after communicating via text or a zoom consultation.

  • DO YOU CHARGE FOR THE CONSULTATION?

No. during your consultation we’ll discuss your project in detail to make sure we’re in agreement about all the important aspects of the design. If we decide that i’m stylistically not the right choice, or our schedules just don’t align, there’s no charge for the consultation. and my feelings won’t even be hurt.

  • DO YOU TATTOO MINORS?

    NO.

  • NOT EVEN WITH PARENTAL CONSENT? A NOTARIZED FORM?

    SORRY, STILL NO.

  • WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Cash is always preferred. But i also accept most major credit cards. you can also use venmo, cash app, or zelle. I’m flexible.

  • DO YOU EVEN DO SMALL TATTOOS?

Sometimes, yes. I usually just don’t put them in my portfolio anymore. there’s a few on instagram, give me a follow and look around a bit.

  • ARE YOU ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS?

Yep! Books are currently open. If I’ve never tattooed you before, fill out my contact form. If I’ve tattooed you before, you know how to get ahold of me.

  • ARE THERE ANY TATTOOS YOU DON’T/WON’T DO?

  • SMALL, FINE LINE, DAINTY TATTOOS ARE NOT MY FORTE. TYPICALLY I’LL REFER YOU TO ANOTHER ARTIST IN THE STUDIO FOR THAT SORT OF WORK.

  • A PORTRAIT OF YOUR KID OR RELATIVE. I’M HAPPY TO ILLUSTRATE THEM, BUT I’D RATHER NOT TRY TO GET INTO PHOTOREALISM AT THIS POINT IN MY CAREER.

  • ANYTHING OBJECTIVELY miserable. I’d rather not permanently mark you with something you may later come to regret. If you come to me you appear unwell or unhappy, depressed, anxious and want to get a tattoo to reflect this, I’ll encourage you to reconsider. I don’t want to give you a permanent reminder of a temporary bad time.

  • symbols or messages aligned with hateful ideologies.

  • DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

WHEN I CAN. I’M PRIMARILY A CUSTOM TATTOOER, AND TYPICALLY THAT REQUIRES HOURS OF RESEARCH AND DRAWING BEFORE A REGULAR APPOINTMENT. IF YOUR IDEA IS SIMPLE ENOUGH THAT I CAN CREATE IT IN A REASONABLY SHORT TIME, OR EVEN DRAW IT ON DIRECTLY, I MAY BE ABLE TO TATTOO YOU AS A WALK IN. IT’S ALWAYS BEST TO TEXT AHEAD AT 855 891 9741 TO MAKE SURE I’LL BE AVAILABLE.

  • WHERE’S YOUR SHOP?

I’M GLAD YOU ASKED. I’M CO-OWNER OF THE EAST, AT 1235 N Orange Ave #202, Orlando, Florida. We’re in the lake ivanhoe district, just north of downtown orlando.

  • HOW CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

The easiest way to start the conversation about your new tattoo is to fill out my contact form. I’ll respond to your message usually within 48 hours. if for some reason i don’t, feel free to follow up with a text to 855 891 9741 or give me a call at the east

AT THE MOMENT, I DON’T HAVE ONE. I CAN TYPICALLY START YOUR PROJECT WITHIN A MONTH OF YOUR INQUIRY DEPENDING ON YOUR AVAILABILITY. IF you’d like to sign up for my mailing list, follow this link.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

I’M NORMALLY IN THE STUDIO TUESDAYS-SATURDAYS. I TYPICALLY SCHEDULE MY CONSULTATIONS FOR 9 OR 10AM BEFORE I START TATTOOING FOR THE DAY. MOST DAYS I TATTOO UNTIL 5 OR 6PM. I can be flexible on this, it never hurts to ask.

  • I REACHED OUT 5 DAYS AGO, AND I HAVEN’T HEARD ANYTHING BACK YET. WHAT THE HECK, DUDE?

I started tattooing in 2oo5 in Debary, Florida, At a no-longer-there shop called Sacred Art Studio.

  • MY FRIEND/SPOUSE/UNCLE/WHATEVER WANTS A TATTOO, BUT THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT/ARE TOO SCARED. CAN I JUST MAKE THEM AN APPOINTMENT AND SURPRISE THEM?

Heck no. getting a tattoo, especially your first one is a big decision. Peer pressure them on your own time; don’t bring me into it. Once they’ve decided what it is they want, please give them my info and have them reach out on their own.

  • CAN I BRING MY KID TO MY TATTOO APPOINTMENT?

I’d prefer you didn’t. Even the best behaved kids can be a distraction in the studio. Plus, sometimes there’s cussin’.

  • CAN I BRING MY FRIEND/SPOUSE/PARENT TO MY APPOINTMENT?

YEP. JUST DON’T BRING a whole party at once UNLESS THEY’RE BEING TATTOOED too PLEASE. THE SHOP IS BIG, AND IT’S COOL TO COME IN AND CHECK IT OUT. BUT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT I PREFER TO KEEP MY ATTENTION ON you and your tattoo, OTHER VOICES IN THE ROOM CHATTERING ABOUT WORK OR WHATEVER CAN be a bit DISTRACTING.

  • CAN I BRING MY DOG/CAT/FISH/PIGEON?

No. I love animals too and would love to meet them in any other venue, but they’re not welcome in the studio.
