No — a rough concept is fine. My favorite clients are the ones who tell me what they're after without over-directing every detail, then let me turn it into something genuinely mine. Reference images, a general concept, or even just a short description is enough to start a conversation.

Sure! I’ll never copy my own work or anyone else’s, but I can certainly use an existing tattoo as a reference point to design something new especially for you.

Yes — cover-up work shows up throughout the portfolio, including full backpieces and sleeves. For before/after images check out my instagram.

My favorite projects are medium to large — full backs, sleeves, anything with room to breathe — but I also love to do small, single session tattoos as well. There are plenty of examples in my portfolio.

My minimum is $250. Smaller, single-session tattoos are quoted at a flat rate before your appointment. Larger projects are booked as half-day or full-day sessions, with pricing discussed when your project is approved.

Each artist at The East sets their own rates. The shop minimum is $100.

Yes. For custom tattoos I always require a deposit before I begin the design process.

For smaller pieces the deposit is $100

Half Day Appointments - $200 Deposit

Full Day Appointments - $300 Deposit

Deposits are always non-refundable.

Consultations are always free.

I understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give me at least 48 hours' notice. With adequate notice, your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment date.

Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the loss of your deposit, and a new deposit will be required to book another appointment.

No-call/no-shows forfeit their deposit and may be required to pay an additional booking fee before scheduling another appointment.

Deposits are non-refundable and are applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.

I don’t tattoo anyone under the age of 18. Even with parental consent or a notarized form.

Get a full night's sleep, eat beforehand, stay hydrated, and skip alcohol for at least 24 hours prior — it thins your blood and affects healing. Wear clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.

You may bring snacks to keep yourself fueled during your session and if yours is a longer session we may stop for a meal.

We have a refrigerator in the studio where you can store any perishables or you may order delivery.

Just keep it clean. If the tattoo itches, you can apply a thin layer of ointment or non-scented lotion to help alleviate the itch. Try not to scratch and never touch a fresh tattoo with unwashed hands.

In some cases if requested we may apply a thin transparent waterproof bandage to your new tattoo. If we do, you’ll leave that bandage on for 24-48 hours, remove it carefully in the shower, pat dry and then reapply the bandage or let it breathe and follow the directions above.

Touch-ups are not included in the original price of your tattoo. Most tattoos heal without needing one, but occasionally a small area may heal lighter or need a little additional attention.

If a touch-up is needed due to the normal healing process, I'm happy to offer it at a discounted rate.

Touch-ups needed as a result of improper aftercare, excessive sun exposure, picking or other avoidable damage are charged at my normal rate.
